Glenada Projects

With the tax deductible funds the Glenada Casino Foundation received we were able to make some critical structural improvements to the Clubhouse in 2015 and 2016.

An engineer and crew were hired to shore up the foundation of the Clubhouse, replacing rotting locust posts with cement and concrete blocks.

Fifty concrete block footings were installed and a main bearing beam under the south end of the house was sistered with new 2 x 10s on edge.

A more visible project was the total replacement of the Clubhouse porch deck with accoya, a specially treated wood that is highly resistant to rot and weathering, thus eliminating the year in and year out replacement of sections of the porch deck.

Glenada donations also paid for the painting of the club’s historic boathouse in April of 2016.

All of these projects are expensive and necessary for the structural integrity of the Clubhouse. Equally important, the use of Foundation funds to pay for these projects, frees up other capital funds that can be used for improvements to our overall facility.  Please join us in supporting this effort by making a tax deductible donation to the Foundation.
